How Serene Wash started
Tra My started Serene Wash Sydney in 2025. Laundry is one of the few household jobs that never finishes, and most people would hand it over gladly if doing so were easy and the result were genuinely good. That is the whole business.
Today we collect daily across more than 90 suburbs, from Balmain and Newtown through Canterbury-Bankstown to Hurstville and Sans Souci. How it works is deliberately plain: you leave the bag out, we collect it, and it comes back clean, folded and when we said it would.
What we actually promise
Small businesses tend to promise everything. We would rather be clear about what is worth promising and then keep to it:
- Every item washed to the instructions on its care label, with delicates hand-washed
- Each household's laundry washed as its own load, never mixed with anyone else's
- A price before we start, and a call if something changes it
- Honest turnaround: 24 to 48 hours for laundry, 48 to 72 for bedding and dry cleaning
- If something is beyond saving, we tell you rather than quietly sending it back
Who we look after
Most of our work is ordinary household washing for families, share houses and people who would simply rather spend the weekend doing something else. Alongside that, three groups make up a large part of what we do.
NDIS participants. We support self-managed and plan-managed participants, invoiced with the correct line item, and we work regularly with support coordinators and plan managers, how NDIS laundry works.
Older people living at home. Including Home Care Package and Support at Home clients, where we invoice the provider or the family directly, aged care and home care laundry.
Short-stay hosts and small businesses. Changeover linen, salon and gym towels, café linen and guest linen for small accommodation operators.
The person you are dealing with
Serene Wash is small on purpose. Tra My knows the regulars by name, and would rather ring you about a stubborn stain or a doubtful care label than guess and hope you do not notice. Warm, straightforward and genuinely on your side. That is the whole pitch.
That is the part a bigger operator cannot copy, and it is why most of our work comes from people who were sent our way by someone they know.
What we are not
We are not a laundromat. There is no shopfront to visit and no machine to feed. We are not a linen hire company either: we launder the linen you own and give it back, so your stock stays yours. And we are not a franchise, which is why the schedule can bend around you rather than around a route sheet.

Questions about how we work
How is the price for Wash, Dry & Fold calculated?
Our laundry service is charged per load. One full load is approximately 5kg, which is about the size of a standard laundry basket. Items that need to be separated by colour or care level may count as additional loads.
Is there a minimum order amount?
Yes, a minimum order of $45 applies, with tax and the pickup and delivery fee included.
How does pickup and delivery work?
We collect directly from your door across Sydney's Inner West, Canterbury-Bankstown and St George. Contactless options are available, and standard turnaround is 24 to 48 hours.
How long does it take to get my laundry back?
Our standard turnaround is 24 to 48 hours from the time of collection. Bedding and dry cleaning may take up to 48 to 72 hours.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept EFTPOS, bank transfer and cash on delivery. Direct debit is available for recurring customers.
How do you handle delicate or special-care items?
We follow all care label instructions carefully. If you have delicate garments, please note this when booking and we will take extra care. Delicate items are given gentle wash cycles, hand-washing where needed, and steam-pressing rather than direct ironing.
Can I set up a regular weekly or fortnightly service?
Absolutely. Many of our customers set up a regular schedule, weekly, fortnightly or as needed. There are no lock-in contracts and you can adjust or cancel at any time.
Is the price estimate tool accurate?
The estimate tool gives you a helpful guide based on the items and quantities you add. The final price may differ slightly, for example, per-kilogram services are confirmed once items are weighed on receipt.
