Why bedding needs a bigger machine
A queen doona in a domestic washer does not get clean. There is not enough room for water and detergent to move through the filling, so it comes out wet rather than washed. The bigger risk is drying: filling that is still damp in the middle grows mould, and the smell arrives a week later when it is too late.
Commercial machines solve both. The doona moves freely in the drum, and the dryer takes it all the way through rather than just drying the cover.
What we clean
Doonas and quilts in every size from single to super king, wool and cotton blankets, mattress toppers, pillows, throws and bedspreads. Feather and down, wool and synthetic fillings are each handled according to the care label, they genuinely need different treatment.

How often bedding should be cleaned
A doona or quilt is worth cleaning once or twice a year, at the end of winter, and again before it goes back on the bed. Mattress toppers are on the same cycle. Sheets and pillowcases are a weekly job, which is why most people send those with their regular wash instead.
Pricing
Bedding takes 48 to 72 hours because of the drying time. Pickup and delivery is $10 per order, with a $45 minimum order including tax.

How much does it cost to wash a doona in Sydney?

How long does doona cleaning take?
48 to 72 hours. Bedding takes longer than everyday laundry because the drying has to go all the way through the filling, rushing that is how a doona ends up smelling musty a week later.
Can you clean a feather and down doona?
Yes. Feather and down, wool and synthetic fillings are each cleaned to the care label, and they do need different handling. If a care label says dry clean only, it goes to dry cleaning instead of a wash.
Do you collect bedding from the door?
Yes, and it is worth it for bulky items: a queen doona is awkward to carry anywhere. Leave it somewhere sheltered and we will collect it and return it to the same spot.
Is there a minimum order amount?
Yes, a minimum order of $45 applies, with tax and the pickup and delivery fee included.
How does pickup and delivery work?
